The Union
Project is located on the corner of Stanton and Negley Avenues on the
virtual boarder between the East Liberty and Highland Park
neighborhoods of Pittsburgh. The Union Project is easily accessible by
car, bus or foot.
There is
free, public curbside parking on both Stanton and Negley Avenues.
During special events, nights, and weekends there is limited parking
available in the Craig Academy parking lot located just across Stanton
Avenue from the Union project.
The intersection in front of the Union Project is easily accessible by utilizing Pittsburgh's public transportation system, the Port Authority of Allegheny County.
Seven city bus routes pass the intersection at all times of day and
night. Catch a ride to the Union Project on the 94A, 94B, 77D, 77F,
77G, 71A, or 64A.
From West and North From PA-28, take the Highland Park Bridge exit, number 6, towards PA-8 S/Aspinwall. Merge onto the Highland Park Bridge. Take the PA-8 N ramp towards butler Street. Merge onto Washington Blvd/PA 8. Turn left at the first stop light to go onto One Wild Place. One Wild Place becomes Mellon St. when you turn right at the animal wall mural. Turn right onto Mellon Terrace. Mellon Terrace becomes Negley Avenue when Mellon Terrace dead-ends and you must turn left. Follow Negley Ave. several blocks until you reach the first stop light. This is Stanton Ave. The Union Project is on your right. From East and South Take the I-376 W/US-22 exit- exit number 6- towards Pittsburgh. Merge onto I-376 W. Take the PA-8 N exit- exit number 8B- towards Wilkinsburg. Merge onto PA-8 N. PA-8 N becomes PA-380/PA-8. Stay straight to go onto PA-380/Penn Ave. Turn right onto N. Negley Ave. Follow Negley Avenue through several stop lights until you reach Stanton Avenue. The Union Project is on your left. Directions at mapquest.com
