Spring Stained Glass Classes at Union Project

Stained Glass Restoration: Tuesdays, Apr 6-May 25, 6-9pm. Class fee: $200. Since 2001, generous community members have helped complete 4/5 of Union Project's stained glass windows by taking the Stained Glass Restoration class. Sign up and help us complete the remaining windows in 2010!

As you help beautify Union Project and the neighborhood by renewing our historic stained glass windows, you learn the craft and art of stained glass restoration. During the 8 week class, you will experience the entire process of restoring a window, from making rubbings, cutting replacement glass, and building with lead came to soldering, cementing, and detailing a rebuilt window.

Intensive 3 Day Glass Workshop: Friday-Sunday, June 11-13 (Fri. 6-9pm, Sat. 9-5pm, Sun. 9-4pm). Class fee: $225. A three day glass making intensive, take home your own creation at the end.

Stained Glass Restoration Intensive: Monday-Friday, July 5-9 or Aug. 9-13, 10am-3pm. Class fee: $200. This class teaches all of the skills of our regular restoration course over the course of a single week.

Family Mosaic Art Camp: Monday-Friday, Aug 16-20, 9am-12pm. Class fee: $250/pair $360/family. Work together as a family to create a mosaic window for your home! Using salvaged stained glass and reused windows, you will transform broken scraps into a colorful, collaborative work of art. We'll make individual sun catchers, draw out designs, listen to our favorite music, and create! A wonderful way to spend time together and meet other families in the neighborhood.

For all adult Union Project stained glass classes: all materials are included, space is limited to 12 students, must be 18 years of age or older, and no previous experience is necessary.
