Ceramic Classes & Camps

Union Project’s Ceramics Classes and Camps create connections and opportunities for learning and artistic expression in a fun and welcoming environment.

We serve the diverse needs of our surrounding neighborhoods and encourage the making of beautiful things, both handmade objects, and connections among people. Our clay-based programming is full of variety, from short workshops to multi-week classes, adult only classes to family-friendly workshops, exploring different techniques, and occurring year-round.

All materials and supplies are included in the class price.

Class Policies

Health Notice

When we are able to safely reopen, we ask that students exercise caution and wash their hands regularly. We are working to make sure that our facility is disinfected properly for the safety of students, staff, volunteers, and the public. If you are not feeling well please stay home. Union Project will waive our usual cancellation fees if students let us know ahead of the class that they can not attend due to illness.

Minimum Enrollment

All Union Project classes and workshops are subject to minimum and maximum enrollment. If UP cancels a class, students will be notified via email and offered another class or workshop or a full refund.

Inclement Weather

Union Project rarely cancels classes or closes for weather. If a class or workshop is canceled, we will notify the enrolled students by phone as soon as possible. We understand that students come from far away places to learn at Union Project and that weather can vary dramatically between areas. We do not want anyone to get into a situation that they feel is unsafe. If you are concerned about traveling to a class that is not canceled, call or email us and we will do all we can to reschedule or accommodate you.

Age Requirements

Unless otherwise noted, you must be at least 16 years old to take a class or workshop without a parent and at least 14 years old to take a class or workshop with a parent.

Refunds and Cancellations

If a student cancellation request is received 14 days prior to the class or workshop start date, you will receive a full refund less a $10 cancellation fee. There is no refund for cancellations received 14 or fewer days before the class start date.

Missed Class / Makeup Policy

With extra precautions in place for COVID-19, we cannot currently offer make up sessions for missed classes. We will assess this policy in the future.

Cost and Payment

Full class payment is required to secure placement in any class or workshop. Classes are filled on a first-come, first-served basis until full.

Student Requested Transfers

If a student transfer request is received 14 days prior to the class or workshop start date, the student will be transferred without fees into the requested class if space is available. If the student transfer request is received less than 14 days prior to the class start date, the student will be transferred into the requested class if space is available in addition to being charged a $10 transfer fee.
