4 Mondays, November 1 – 22
Explore non-functional ceramics and ways to use clay to create sculptures in this 4-week class. You will create freestanding, handmade pieces using sculptural techniques, including coil building, slab construction, and building solid forms to hollow out. Your teacher will demonstrate basic carving and work with sculpture tools. You will consider volume, weight, color, form, balance, and texture when creating figurative or abstract pieces. This class is open to students 18 or older and those at all clay skill levels.
Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request. Please let us know what accommodations we can make to ensure your experience is positive. Contact Michelle Clesse at 412-363-4550 or email@example.com if you have specific accommodations or needs.
