Thursday Beginner Sculpture/Handbuilding
Event Dates and Times:
March 9 (6:00 pm - 9:00 pm) - April 6
5 Thursdays, March 9 – April 6
Explore non-functional ceramics and ways to use clay to create sculptures. You will create freestanding, handmade pieces using sculptural techniques, including coil building, slab construction, and building solid forms to hollow out. Your teacher will demonstrate basic carving and work with sculpture tools. When creating figurative or abstract pieces, you will consider volume, weight, color, form, balance, and texture. This class is open to students 16 or older and those at all clay skill levels.
If a class or workshop is sold out, you may request to be added to the waitlist by emailing email@example.com.
Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request.
