Do you want to learn more about creating interesting surfaces on your pottery and sculpture? This intermediate/advanced class explores the application of glazes, glaze combinations, firing methods, and cold finishes. Students will learn special techniques to create alternative surfaces on clay, such as Sgraffito, Mishima, Photo Transfer with Decals, Silk screening, and Underglaze transfers. Students will also use terra sigillata, sodium silicate, and rubber latex to create multiple layers of imagery. Take your work to the next level in this five-week course. Materials and clay are provided.
