Youth Clay Camp – Hand Building and Wheel Throwing
Ceramics Camp, Union Project Event
Event Dates and Times:
August 2 (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm) - August 6
During this five-day camp, youth (Ages 8-12) will develop hand-building and wheel-throwing skills in Union Project’s welcoming, community studio space.
This camp is designed for all experience levels, and instruction will begin with the basics: pinch and slab construction, centering, throwing small cylinders, trimming, and glazing techniques. By creating ceramic artwork every day during camp, campers will be encouraged to develop self-confidence and excitement through their progress, invest in relationships with peers and neighbors, and take home their handmade pots at the end. It will be great fun!
This camp runs from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
Union Project is committed to being accessible to all. The building is wheelchair accessible via the side door on Stanton Avenue, and an accessible parking spot is located just outside that door. Service animals are always welcome, and ASL interpretation can be provided on request. Please let us know what accommodations we can make to ensure your experience is positive, contact Michelle Clesse at 412-363-4550 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have specific accommodations or needs.
