Spaces and Rates

Union Project offers three unique rental spaces for your next event - the Great Hall, the Atrium, and the Board Room. Our Kitchen and Side Yard are also available to rent for a flat fee in addition to a Great Hall rental. Your event helps us meet our mission to use the arts to bridge gaps between communities!

Rentals at Union Project require a non-refundable security deposit of $100 to hold any date. This deposit will be deducted from the final total of your rental. All dates are first come first served. We will not hold a date without a deposit. All events including clean-up, must end by 11:00 pm.

The Great Hall

Great Hall  Great Hall

This original church sanctuary, our Great Hall, is Union Project’s largest event rental space at 3,360 square feet and features three walls of stunning 30 foot neo-classical community restored stained glass windows. The space has become a popular venue for weddings, concerts, theatrical productions, workshops, crafts fairs, and other large public gatherings and accommodates up to approximately 300 seated audience style. Union Project has 240 chairs and 33 tables available for use - any additional chairs would need to be rented from an outside vendor. Click here for a floor plan of the Great Hall.

The Atrium


This 1,735 sq. ft., half-circle shaped space boasts near perfect acoustics and includes 35 foot ceilings and historic plaster moldings. Our Atrium is an ideal space for spoken word and chamber music performances, and small to medium sized community, business, worship gatherings, birthday parties, and baby showers. The Atrium accommodates a maximum of 45 people seated audience style or 30 seated at tables. Click here for a floor plan of the Atrium.

The Board Room


This 280 sq. ft. space features beautifully restored stained glass windows, original woodwork, a tiled fireplace mantel, kitchenette, a flat screen plasma television, and solid oak board table. Our Board Room provides professional, comfortable space for up to 16 people and is ideal for board, committee, and staff meetings and retreats as well as business meetings, small classes/workshops, tutoring, and mediation.

The Kitchen


Our kitchen space is Allegheny County Health Department certified and is suitable for the production and processing of food items for retail sale. This can be added to a Great Hall rental. The space measures 100 sq ft and comes equipped with three, 6 ft. long stainless steel prep tables, a commercial single door freezer box, a commercial double door refrigerator, three well sink, and a slop sink.
*Cleaning of kitchen space is not covered as part of setup/cleanup services offered by Union Project.
Rental Rates: Add to a Great Hall rental for $150 (rental time will reflect total hours rented in Great Hall).


The Side Yard

The Side Yard is a fantastic addition to a Great Hall rental during warm weather months. Use as a picnic area for kids, a bring-your-own-blanket concert space, or a spot for an outdoor tent to be placed. *Please note, due to the construction of our new Kiln Shelter, the Side Yard is not available until Spring 2020.
Rental Rates: Rent for three hours for $200.


Wedding Rental Package (The Great Hall, Atrium, and Board Room)

This rental package is for anyone having their wedding or their wedding reception at UP, it is also great for large events like fundraisers and family reunions. $4,000 rents our Great Hall, Atrium, and Board Room for ten hours on a Saturday (Sunday brunch option is $2,500 for five consecutive hours with clean-up ending before 2:00 pm). Your rental includes liquor liability insurance, set up and clean up, kitchen, dance floor. 

Just having your ceremony? You can schedule four hours in the Great Hall only (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday for $750).

Need to have a rehearsal? You can schedule an additional two hours the Friday before your event between 9:00 - 5:00. This option is an additional $150 when added to a wedding package.
