A free, family-friendly event.

Come celebrate all things clay at our 5th annual Mother of All Pottery Sales - the biggest clay celebration in Pittsburgh that brings talented ceramic artists and pottery lovers together under one roof!

Join us this year for hands-on activities in the studio, a live demonstration from professional ceramic artists Jen Allen and Shoji Satake, a clay activity in the studio with Union Project artists, an art project with the Mattress Factory, and a sale featuring locally made pottery from 30 of the region’s top ceramic artists.



  • 10:00am: Doors Open
  • 10:00am - 5:00pm: Live demonstrations from artists Jen Allen & Shoji Satake
  • 10:00am - 5:00pm: Ceramic Artists Exhibition in Atrium
  • 11:00am - 1:30pm: Mattress Factory activity (Ceramics Studio)
  • 2:00pm - 4:30pm: Hands-on clay activity (Ceramics Studio)
  • 5:00pm - Event Ends

Mattress Factory Activity (11:00am - 1:30pm)
Join Mattress Factory for a fabric and soft sculpture exploration in celebration of their Teen Art Cooperative's installation featuring a large, interactive, cozy pile of pillows.

Hands-on Clay Activity (2:00pm - 4:30pm)
Work with two of Union Project's Collaborative Studio artists to build a temporary clay installation in the ceramic studio. Sculpt a ceramic figurine and add it to our clayborhood of community members!

Vendors will be on-site throughout the day, including: 
11:00am - Gyros N'At 
Noon - BRGR
12:30pm - Leona's Ice Cream.
