Pittsburgh Zine Fair
Sunday, September 24th, 2017,  2:00 PM - 8:00 PM

Pittsburgh Zine Fair is to promotes personal expression, increase awareness of self-publishing and independent media, and build a better sense of community.

In 2011, participants of the Feminist Zine Symposium at the Carnegie Library reached out to local indie cartoonists to organize a Pittsburgh-based event to promote zines and zinemakers. Since its debut at Artist Image Resource in 2011, the Pittsburgh Zine Fair has attracted a diverse group of artists, writers and activists from across the region whose content varies but the format remains the same: -the zine. In 2013, the Pittsburgh Zine Fair relocated to the Union Project (UP) to take advantage of a larger, accessible location.  In 2015, the Pittsburgh Zine Fair approached UP as a potential partner to help grow the event.
