IMPORTANT DATES:

  • January 5, 2024 Artist Selection Notifications
  • February 15, 2024 Artist Agreements Due
  • March 1, 2024 Promotional Toolkit Delivered to all event participants
  • April 29 – May 6, 2024 Spotlight Gallery Artists must drop off work during designated times
  • May 11, 2024 MOAPS 2024 Event Day
  • May 13 – 21, 2024 Spotlight Gallery Artists must pick up unsold work during designated times

MOAPS 2024 Spotlight Gallery Artist Agreement

Participation Responsibilities
Union Project is responsible for:
  • Managing the Spotlight Gallery sales area assuming responsibility for the handling, selling, and packing of this artwork. Check payments for 70% of sales will be released to artists within 30 days of the event.
  • Once UP receives the artwork, we will take responsibility for the theft or breakage of work while it’s in our care. (This excludes breakage resulting from catastrophe, natural or other (earthquake, fire, etc.)) If work is broken or stolen, we will pay out the 70% cut that an artist would have received if it sold.
  • All work will be getting stored and secured in the UP board room prior to event setup and there will always be at least one UP staff member present in The Spotlight Gallery once it is setup and the event is open to the public.
  • Union Project reserves the right to photograph work during the event, and use photographs - or the artist's shared images - in both printed and electronic materials for publicity and promotion.
Participating artists are responsible for:
  • Helping promote the event to their personal networks. (Union Project will provide a promotional toolkit to help you.) 
  • Dropping off labeled work during designated times between April 29 and May 4, 2024:
    Monday, April 29, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
    Tuesday, April 30, 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
    Wednesday, May 1, 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm
    Thursday, May 2, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm
    Friday, May 3, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
    Saturday, May 4, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
     
  • Submitting a detailed inventory/price list via shared Google Sheets by May 4, 2024. No printouts or handwritten inventories will be accepted.
  • Picking up any unsold work during designated times:
    Friday, May 17, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
    Saturday, May 18, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm
